lunch at belgian beer cafe

Took a taxi  from the Metro (after I missed one bus and gave up trying to figure out when the next one would come) to DKC and asked if it was easy to get a cab back to the Metro Station. They laughed.

A Scottish man was paying for his dog’s stay and said he’d take me to Festival Center, where there was beer–and easy access to taxis. He dropped me off at Dubai’s Original Belgian Beer Cafe. I had an amazing blue cheese & walnut salad, but the view was better. Burj Khalifa making the other skyscrapers look short.

Walked around the Festival Center mall: Trader Vic’s, Fuddrucker’s, Macaroni Grill, Cinnabon, Cold Stone…and Ikea. Just like San Fernando Road, Burbank.
